This collection is part of Barte’s project, Ciento Ochenta Grados (180 Degrees), a look into the 1970s in
Between 1970 and 1972 Enrique Salamanca joined the “Seminario de Generación Automática de Formas Plásticas”, a space within Spanish contemporary art that reacted to the abstract wave of the late fifties. The result of this experience will be his drawings created by computer and his sculptures of aluminum, plexiglass, or light boxes, incorporating not only light but movement and tactile references, thus putting the viewer at the center of his work.
Salamanca’s work can be found in numerous public and private collections. Among others: Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Huarte Collection, Pilar Citoler Collection, Fundación Juan March, IAACC Pablo Serrano and Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao.
